LEAP© – Leadership Essentials and Principles
LEAP© is a 4 hour flexi module designed to introduce first time people managers to the dynamics involved in managing teams and managing self as a leader. This module focuses on effective transition from being an individual contributor to a people manager. It addresses the foundational skills that a new leader needs to be equipped with, in order to ensure effective and speedy results from team members. Leadership Fundamentals teaches participants the importance of understanding self motivation, empathy, feedback, delegation and time management. The module involves skill practices for easy application and greater retention of learning. This module can be easily customised and can be offered as a package with pre and post assessments, action learning assignments and self evaluations.
CoFee Time©
CoFee Time© introduces participants to the basics of getting teams to deliver results through powerful coaching and Feedback techniques. The module discusses detailed aspects of questioning techniques, handling resistance, monitoring ongoing performance, providing support and empowerment and the importance of timely and accurate documentation. CoFee Time© is an experiential module that focuses greatly on skill practice. Robustly designed role plays are therefore an integral part of this module. While there are standard case studies that we use, this 1 day flexi module can be customised to include client cases, experiences and templates. We also have a 2 day version of this module available to meet intensive coaching and feedback training needs.
MPie© -Managing Performance Issues Effectively
MPie© is an 8 hour flexi module that focuses on managing acute and ongoing performance issues in teams. This module addresses skill and will issues that leaders face and focuses on effectively managing those issues. The module discusses the importance of documentation, managing resistance, denial, defence and withdrawal behaviours. The module comes with power packed management templates and forms that are helpful in understanding and practicing documentation and feedback. We can customise large parts of this module to suit specific client situations and realities around HR policies, template designs, performance management system and administering consequences and procedures.
Managing conflict in teams
This module particularly focuses on manager skills needed in addressing conflicts among team members. The module works on the premise of conflicts being an integral and necessary dynamic of healthy teams. The approach to resolution in this module is based on the thought that conflicts by themselves cannot be managed but conflicting ideas can be. Participants work through three levels of conflicts and brainstorm ideas to manage conflicts. At the end of the module, participants achieve a greater understanding of motives and motivations of others and some ideas on bridging idea gaps.
MAPS© – Managing and Assessing Performance Standards
MAPS© is a proprietary flexi module that teaches participants the nuts and bolts of a performance management cycle. One of the biggest struggles for a new manager is managing and sustaining team performance. The transition between being managed to managing is a big change in an employee’s life and MAPS strives to bridge the gaps in skill during this transition. Most new managers fail because they do not manage their people well. This 2 day module takes participants through the entire performance life cycle and focuses on building skills in setting goals, ongoing coaching and feedback, performance review and assessment. This module is scalable to suit specific client needs and can be easily merged with existing performance management systems of organisations.
Behavioral Interviewing Skills
Behavioral Interviewing Skills is a 2 day module (can be flexed to a 3 day version)that aims to develop people in their ability to make informed hiring decisions through powerful questioning and evaluation techniques. This module helps participants in understanding candidate profiles, asking behaviour based questions, cross cultural awareness and using interview guides effectively. We offer this as a flexi module and customise based on client needs of systems, processes and templates. The benefits of this module lie in ensuring a healthy and competent hiring culture and high performing talent pipeline.
